ADVERTISING HOARDINGS - WOOD KITS WITH POSTERS

We are pleased to welcome these new LASER CUT WOOD BILLBOARD KITS into our range. Each kit consists of an authentic wood hoarding suitable for mounting onto station platforms / roadways (Kit Ad-H) or attaching to buildings / retaining walls (Ad-W). Each kit contains a single hoarding complete with rear trussing supports and appropriate fittings plus detailing items such as the ad agent's nameboard. Easily assembled and painted, requiring only paint and adhesive (PVA recommended) to complete. Each kit is supplied with ONE ADVERTISING POSTER OF YOUR CHOICE from the list below. Advertising billboards are an everyday sight in urban areas. These authentic kits will add an interesting finishing touch to your layout. The FREESTANDING HOARDING (order code Ad-H shown here is a design frequently seen at the roadside and widely used on station platforms. This kit includes a choice of lower grill design. It is shown here with advert poster Ad-09 and detailed with the agent's name and numberboard (all supplied in kit).

Wall mounted billboards are a popular choice in crowded urban areas, and are usually attached to spare gable end walls or retaining walls where they are likely to attract attention. The wall mounted kit (order code Ad-W) includes the platform for Bill Posters to do his pasting, plus an access ladder so that he get up (and back down again). This example is fitted with Ad-17.

Construction Guide: We used acrylic paints, with the outer frame being white and the rear trussing, legs and supports being black. For the freestanding version the lower grill was painted green. Construction is simple, using PVA glue to complete the model and attach the poster. The whole billboard was then sprayed with a protective coat of satin varnish for protection. Full instructions are provided in each kit.
